“Meet Our Colonial Neighbours”

On Sunday 11 Sept. 2016 at 11.30 for History Week, a presentation will be given at the grave sites of Captain George Jobling and his wife Margaret who are buried on the River Reserve near Riverside Dr.
Hear about their lives and achievements from local North Shore historians who will shed light on the incorrect dates in the Museum and Library files; will read a letter written before their departure to Australia and highlight some “firsts” of Captain Jobling which have not yet been mentioned in local histories.
WHERE: On the Reserve between 151-153 Riverside. Watch for the sign.
Enquiries: Narelle Milligan T. 02 65 843 271/M. 0 411 236 124, Jennifer Labone .M. 0 429 837 804
If the weather is fine, you might like to bring along a picnic lunch as the area has a beautiful view of the River.
