STREET LIBRARY

A lending library was established under a resident’s  house  some years  back and after the flood of 2013 it was re-established in a  recycled  frig at Ferry Reserve and went very well until some students decide to vandalise it on a number of occasions.

Some keen volunteers have decided to try once more in the same format with the support of the Library who donated books. There has been discussion on vandalism prevention as unfortunately some children were caught on camera and are  living on the North Shore.

Please support us by donating a book. taking a book or if you really love it, put it in your own library. Jigsaws, DVD’s, children’s books and magazines are also part of the lending.

The recycled frig will be decorated and activities are planned to involve younger residents more.  For further information please contact Jennifer Labone M. 0 429 837 804.
